How my journey began
My gramps & mama then her styling all grown up.
Design. Color. Organization. The cornerstones of my DNA.
My grandpa was a carpenter. He even designed and built the home my mother was raised in. He had talent in his fingertips. He passed his skills on to my mom. She designed, decorated, made drapes, pillows, painted, put up wallpaper… you name it and she could do it. I just thought that was normal. It felt right to me.
I’m the youngest of five and the only girl. So I often tagged along with my mom. I grew up going to hardware, furniture and fabric stores absorbing all the designing my mom was constantly creating. Uniting fabrics, paint, furnishings, decor and the blend of light for function and mood in the home was my training ground. My dad owned a tool company so that definitely helped too.
Then there’s the organizing. A well designed room offers true joy when creativity meets function. Some think being too organized is a bad thing. But I love it and to make a space calm, organized and happy is so gratifying. As you can see, designing is in my DNA. I can’t help it. It makes me happy to share this with others.

Don’t be afraid of color.
So many people are afraid to make a mistake. It’s only paint so why be afraid of it? What’s the worst that can happen? If you’re not excited about it, you can change it. Let me help with this process and get it right the first time. It can be a fun experience. Really it can! And it’s what I love to do!
